Job summary

Cox Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician I to perform on-site DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and equipment in the field. You’ll work independently, manage a service truck, and may take the truck home daily where policy allows.

We offer weekly pay, safety bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. You’ll need your own tools and DOT/FMCSA compliance to keep our fleet safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Must have own hand tools and a valid driver’s license.
• DOT medical card acceptable if valid with more than 4 months remaining.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on trailers in a mobile/field environment.
• Repair trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, liftgates, and brake chambers as needed.
• Document work, parts used, and findings in Repair Orders using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
• Maintain and operate the company-issued service truck and manage parts inventory.
