Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Mobile Trailer Repair Technician I to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on trailers and equipment while working in a mobile/field environment. You will operate a company vehicle and manage tasks independently.

The role offers a flexible work option with remote eligibility (must reside in the specified city/region), 100% travel, and opportunities for additional compensation through incentive programs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Candidate must pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
Valid driver’s license; must be 21+ and able to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers in a mobile/field environment.
Perform repairs on trailer systems including brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates and brake chambers.
Document work and parts used in Repair Orders using iOS and TRAIT app; upload photos and finalize RO.
Complete DOT forms accurately and maintain compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
