Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to join our field service team.

You will travel to customers' residences in our company vehicle to diagnose and repair whole home standby generators, performing maintenance and troubleshooting with mechanical and electrical knowledge. You’ll read manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints, update the service system after visits, and maintain safety practices on job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certification a plus.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Must have valid driver’s license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair backup standby generators.
• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival and work performed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Document services in the electronic software system.
