Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to plan work and travel using a company vehicle. You will repair and maintain whole home standby generators at customers’ residences, interpret manuals and diagrams, and update service records electronically.

The role requires strong customer service, safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. The position typically runs Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with schedule shifts to support customers during

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, instructions, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to drive company vehicles safely to each job site.
• Be physically able to perform job duties including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, pulling and walking on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Using company vehicle – travel to customer’s residence.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding arrival, work being performed, issues resolved, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on the customer’s home generator.
• Follow technical instruction manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test, troubleshoot, and operate automatic transfer switches.
• Document services are performed using an electronic software system
• Adhere to all safety practices and requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
