Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel to customers' homes to perform repair and maintenance on whole home standby generators.

You will use our company vehicle and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction. Applicants should have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, read manuals and schematics, and update the service software after each job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical certification a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Technicians will be provided with a daily workload of service/maintenance calls to perform on the Generac generators.
• Ability to drive company vehicles safely to/from customer’s residence within and surrounding area / job site.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding arrival, work being performed, issues resolved, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on the customer’s home generator.
• Follow technical instruction manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Document services that are performed using an electronic software system.
• Adhere to all safety practices and requirements.
