Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to travel to customers for repair and maintenance of whole home standby generators. You will use our company vehicle, communicate with customers, and apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose and fix issues while updating the service software.

Schedule varies with weather and customer needs. The role requires reading technical manuals and schematics, following safety practices, and collaborating with the

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle and schedule coordination.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival, work performed and issues resolved.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home standby generators.
• Follow technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test, troubleshoot, and operate automatic transfer switches.
• Document services performed in electronic software system.
• Adhere to safety practices and company requirements.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
