Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Fontana, California seeks a Mobile Service Advisor to coordinate repair work on a mobile service basis, working closely with technicians to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing repair orders, keeping work in process, notifying customers of changes in estimates and times, handling inquiries, dispatching

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software for dealer operations.

Responsibilities

• Create repair orders in the business system according to mobile technicians and customer needs.
• Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted.
• Close repair order as appropriate and in a timely manner.
• Maintain work in process repair orders until completion. Upon completion, contacts customer to receive payment.
• Check on progress of repair throughout the day in coordination with the mobile technician. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Handle telephone inquiries regarding inbound work and work in process. Dispatch mobile technician to customer location for repair needs.
• Establish customer’s method of payment. Obtain credit approval, if necessary.
