Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Mobile Service Advisor in Boise, Idaho to coordinate customer repairs on a mobile service basis. You will work closely with mobile service technicians to ensure customer needs are met and repairs are completed efficiently.

Responsibilities include creating repair orders, communicating estimates, obtaining authorizations, and arranging payment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, and proficiency with dealer software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Maintain safety rules and a safe work environment.
• Proficient with PC and dealer operations software.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Create repair orders in the business system per mobile technicians and customer needs.
• Review repair orders to ensure work is completed and add any needed authorizations.
• Maintain work in process repair orders until completion and contact customer for payment.
• Coordinate with mobile technicians; inform customers of changes in estimates or time and obtain authorizations.
• Handle inbound inquiries about work; dispatch technicians to customer locations.
• Establish customer payment method and obtain credit approval if needed.

The Mobile Service Advisor is responsible for coordination of customer's repairs on a mobile service basis. The advisor will work closely with mobile service technicians to ensure customer needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Create repair orders in the business system according to mobile technicians and customer needs.
• Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Close repair order as appropriate and in a timely manner.
• Maintain work in process repair orders until completion. Upon completion, contacts customer to receive payment.
• Check on progress of repair throughout the day in coordination with the mobile technician. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Handle telephone inquiries regarding inbound work and work in process. Dispatch mobile technician to customer location for repair needs.
• Establish customer’s method of payment. Obtain credit approval, if necessary.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction standards (CSI).
• Maintain safe work environment by observing safety procedures and by requiring that all staff follow the required safety rules and regulations.
• Personal computer skills, familiarity with accounting and other software for dealer operations.
• Must be punctual and ready to work at the agreed upon time
