Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Mobile Service Advisor to coordinate repairs at the customer's location and collaborate with mobile technicians to meet customer needs. You will create and review repair orders, manage workflow, and communicate estimates and timelines to customers while ensuring proper approvals and payment arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Create repair orders in the business system according to mobile technicians and customer needs.
• Review repair orders to ensure work is completed and added work and authorization are noted.
• Maintain work in process repair orders until completion; contact customer to receive payment.
• Monitor progress of repair; inform customers of changes in estimate/time and obtain authorization for extra work.
• Handle inbound inquiries; dispatch mobile technicians to customer locations.
• Establish customer payment methods and obtain credit approval if necessary.

Job description

The Mobile Service Advisor is responsible for coordination of customer's repairs on a mobile service basis. The advisor will work closely with mobile service technicians to ensure customer needs are met. Rush Truck Centers opens the door to the world of opportunity. Responsibilities:

• Create repair orders in the business system according to mobile technicians and customer needs.
• Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Close repair order as appropriate and in a timely manner.
• Maintain work in process repair orders until completion. Upon completion, contacts customer to receive payment.
• Check on progress of repair throughout the day in coordination with the mobile technician. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Handle telephone inquiries regarding inbound work and work in process. Dispatch mobile technician to customer location for repair needs.
• Establish customer’s method of payment. Obtain credit approval, if necessary.

Education And/or Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction standards (CSI).
• Maintain safe work environment by observing safety procedures and by requiring that all staff follow the required safety rules and regulations.
• Personal computer skills, familiarity with accounting and other software for dealer operations.
• Must be punctual and ready to work at the agreed upon time
