Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute is seeking a Donor Driver Specialist to operate a full-size van/Promaster, transport staff and supplies, and deliver a safe, high-quality donor experience at mobile donation sites.

You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and support automation systems when applicable, while upholding a collaborative team culture and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• GED required.
• 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred.
• Less than 1 year job-related experience, required.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and safety rules is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follows all DOT guidelines when operating a full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and performs set up at the mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
• Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Treats donors with customer service excellence, responds to inquiries and escalates to leadership when appropriate.
• May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Maintains a positive team culture and supports coworkers.
• Maintains product integrity and ensures proper donor identification; completes department records.
• Observes donors for reactions and provides care as needed.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
