Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute is seeking a Donor Driver Specialist to perform phlebotomy collection for whole blood and apheresis products. You will operate the mobile drive vehicle, load/unload supplies, and transport staff safely while delivering an excellent donor experience.

Responsibilities include donor screening, phlebotomy, automation support, and maintaining equipment and records. A strong customer-service mindset and reliability are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of people-facing experience preferred; required in some cases.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to learn computer applications as required.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT guidelines when operating a full-size van/Promaster and transports staff and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and sets up at mobile site including technology and quality control.
• Performs donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Provides excellent donor service, handles inquiries and escalates when needed.
• May conduct automation (Alyx/Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Maintains team culture and supports coworkers.
• Ensures donor identification and records; performs routine maintenance on equipment.
