Job summary

Versiti Blood Research Institute is seeking a Donor Driver Specialist to support mobile donation operations. Under supervision, you will operate a full-size van/Promaster, transport staff and supplies, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering high-quality donor experiences.

You will perform donor screening, load/unload equipment, assist with automation (Alyx/Trima), and help maintain program quality. Strong teamwork and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• GED required
• 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred
• Less than 1 year job-related experience required
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and safety rules
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret documents and operate equipment
• Ability to organize work for productive workflow
• Commitment to positive donor experience
• Flexible to work independently or with a team
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to learn and use computer applications as required

Responsibilities

• Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and performs set up at the mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
• Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image and handling inquiries professionally.
• May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions.
• Recruits and converts donors for automation.
• Contributes to and upholds a positive team culture and employee experience.
• Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors, performs routine maintenance on equipment.
• Observes donors for reactions and provides reaction care.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
• May undergo additional background checks as required by sponsor.
• Performs other duties as required within scope.
• Understands and performs in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Complies with standard operating policies and procedures.
