Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Macon, GA seeks a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair a range of rental and customer equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will inspect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, perform testing with diagnostic equipment, document work, and support management in safety and quality improvements. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow instructions; read manuals and repair guides.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills; effectively communicate with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Repair and/or replace components of frame assemblies, suspensions, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders.
• Tune up engines and diagnose computer controls and A/C components with diagnostic equipment.
• Perform welding and fabricate parts and attachments.
• Complete all documentation (work orders, parts orders, inspections, warranty support, time sheets).
• Work safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Participate in safety program; other duties as assigned.
