Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co in Georgia is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair a range of rental and customer equipment. You will handle mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform diagnostics, and support safety and workflow improvements.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read manuals, and a customer-service mindset. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow instructions; read manuals; work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Repair and/or replace components of light and heavy frame assemblies, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, and operator comfort systems.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders.
• Tune up engines and diagnose computer controls and A/C components using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform welding and brazing and fabricate/modify parts and attachments.
• Complete all documentation (work orders, parts orders, inspections, warranty support, time sheets).
• Work safely following established procedures.
