Job summary

Generator Supercenter of Waco seeks a skilled Small Engine Mechanic/AC Service Technician to service whole home standby generators. Using a company vehicle, you will travel to customers’ homes to perform repairs and maintenance, communicating clearly about findings and results.

The role requires reading manuals/diagrams, safety adherence, and delivering professional customer service. You will work Mon-Fri 7 am–4 pm with potential schedule changes to meet customer needs, and your prior experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, electrical wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Must be able to drive company vehicles to each job site.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on whole home standby generators.
• Consult with Service Manager to plan work and travel schedule.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival and work performed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain generators and transfer switches.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Document services in electronic software system.
• Adhere to safety practices and environmental requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
