Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and minimum 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling experience.
• Ability to travel between branches on an as-needed basis.
• Proven verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience by understanding customer needs.
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities.
• Engage in lobby management, greet customers, and address immediate needs.
• Accurately balance and process customer transactions following Bank Policy.
• Take ownership of escalated account service issues until resolution and log complaints.
• Transition sales opportunities and introduce banking partners.
• Complete branch-related operational activities (cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfers).
• Process customer/account maintenance accurately.
• Complete AML/BSA/KYC activities and comply with risk controls.
• Promote an environment aligned with M&T Bank brand and conduct audits as needed.
