Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a field engineer to provide project support across LNG and related energy sectors on US Gulf Coast projects. The role covers work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, and coordination of system turnover.

Applicants should have a civil/engineering background and relevant site experience. Responsibilities include preparing drawings, planning construction methods, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with Bechtel core

Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
Technical knowledge of construction engineering relating to one or multiple disciplines, interfacing with planning, cost, scheduling, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures.
Initiates field requisitions for purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs.
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
Ensures zero-accident safety philosophy and proper use of PPE.
Develops understanding of system scope and drawings for package development.
Reviews and approves inspection/test plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
