Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a field engineering specialist to support planning, material management, and quality control on major energy and infrastructure projects in the US Gulf Coast region. The role involves multi-discipline coordination, subcontract oversight, and on-site problem solving.

You will contribute to safe, compliant field execution and work with a team to deliver projects on time and within budget, with mobility across locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years total industry experience.
• Construction site experience on heavy industrial projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to mentor others.
• Knowledge of startup, commissioning, and operations processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches to support planning.
• Facilitates planning of construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs.
• Verifies quantities in tracking systems and databases.
• Ensures safety and quality requirements are implemented in the field.
• Reviews inspection plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
• Develops understanding of system scope for package development.
• Supports testing, startup, and operations activities.
