Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation seeks a seasoned Construction Field Engineer to lead field engineering activities for LNG and energy projects on the US Gulf Coast. You will supervise planning, material management, quantity validation, safety, quality control, inspections, and coordination with design and subcontractors across multi-discipline teams.

The role requires a recognized engineering degree and 13–19 years of relevant experience; mobility across locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
• A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, OR Specialized courses in construction management, AND/OR Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above.

Responsibilities

• Directs the construction engineering organization and planning for approval by Site Manager.
• Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and manages cost/schedule deliverables.
• Directs the design of temporary construction facilities and interface with project controls.
• Directs subcontract administration and coordination with subcontractors to ensure materials and workmanship meet specs.
• Oversees field engineering records, turnover, and interfaces with design, procurement, and commissioning teams.
