Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a field engineering specialist for LNG projects on the US Gulf Coast. You will focus on work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination to ensure work aligns with project requirements.

The role requires mobility across multiple US locations and a background in heavy industrial construction, with strong skills in MS Office and Bechtel BSAPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a field construction environment with specs, vendor procedures, instructions and codes.
• Heavy industrial direct-hire construction experience commensurate with the work type.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead teams effectively in a collaborative setting.
• Demonstrated problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power plants.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and related applications knowledge.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Experience managing technical services subcontracts.
• Experience on LNG construction sites.
• Understanding of Bechtel work processes and BSAPs (Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities in quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero-accident safety philosophy and adherence to requirements.
• Coordinates inspection test plans and subcontractor submittals.
• Develops understanding of system and area scope for package development.
