Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mobile Engineer to support maintenance and repair across retail client sites. Responsibilities include HVAC and building systems repair, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections, with a company vehicle and tools provided.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2 years’ related experience, a valid driver’s license, EPA/CFC certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of related experience or trade school training.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate a full-size van/truck.
• Universal CFC or EPA certification required.
• Excellent social and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer/PDA for work orders, email and training.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; document activities.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, order materials, and use CMMS to track work.
• Lead troubleshooting and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, roofs, drains.
• Inspect new installations for code and safety compliance.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing) for environmental specs.
• Oversee and inspect work by outside contractors.
• Maintain and repair lighting systems (element/ballast).
• Assist with furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate help.
• Report daily activities via PDA.
