Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, maintain the service truck, and ensure high safety and quality standards.

You will work with a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician when needed, maintain a productive daily schedule, and be able to obtain necessary ASE certifications and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or willingness to obtain.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; able to pass DOT background screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mobile trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and braking systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain and organize parts on service truck; document work orders and RO entries.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.
