Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires adherence to safety policies and strong diagnostic skills using standard hand tools and electrical/electronic systems knowledge.

You will work under supervision for advanced diagnostics and progressively learn higher-level techniques while maintaining documentation and customer communication using

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to obtain within 18 months.
• Must possess and provide a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screen and DOT physical required.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and engine components.
• Inspect trailers and related systems for wear, air lines, brakes and liftgates.
• Prepare accurate service orders, document findings, and upload photos using the TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety and environmental policies, and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Manage daily schedule and parts inventory with minimal supervision.
