Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will handle electrical, fuel, cooling, and drive-train diagnostics while documenting work on a company-provided iOS device using TRAIT.

Qualified candidates will have DOT inspection experience and the ability to work independently at customer sites, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections experience.
• Ability to perform PM inspections and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills across electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer equipment, including electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, road test, and document findings; manage parts and tools on a service truck.
• Upload RO data and photos using the TRAIT app and ensure accurate documentation.
