CAI Cox Automotive Corp Svcs., LLC is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and follow‑up repairs on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in a field setting. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer systems using tests and handheld devices, conduct road tests, and manage parts inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with ≥3 years related experience
• Own a set of hand tools
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months of hire
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical; a valid DOT medical card may substitute
• Must be 21+ with 3-year MVR review
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File
• Strong safety, communication, and independence skills
• Preferred ASE T3/T4/T5/T6/T7/T608/609 certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles
• Adjust and repair truck equipment including electrical, brakes, cooling, engine electronics
• Adjust and repair trailer equipment such as brakes, air lines, liftgates, and brake chambers
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems using test instruments and handheld devices
• Conduct road tests to verify operation and troubleshoot issues
• Manage parts inventory and obtain approvals for estimates
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations
