Job summary

CAI Cox Automotive Corp Svcs., LLC is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform PM and DOT inspections in a mobile environment. The role offers a remote work option with 100% travel and variable shifts. Base pay is hourly and may include incentives, with travel and location factors shaping compensation.

The technician will diagnose, repair, and service heavy‑duty vehicles, maintain parts inventory, and complete DOT‑related paperwork via company devices and TRAIT software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 3 years in related field or 5 years experience.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and DOT pre-employment screening.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and able to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling, engine, transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions with test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on company service truck and document on RO via iOS device.
