Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel And Trailer Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light/major repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile environment. The role requires diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, maintaining service trucks, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Training and advancement paths are available. Applicants should have HS diploma with related field experience or 5 years in related field, ASE/T8

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related field experience or higher degree/certification.
• Automotive experience with DOT/FMCSA regulations is preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Document work using company iOS device and TRAIT app; complete DOT forms timely.

Education

3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ related field experience
