Job summary

CAI Cox Automotive Corp Svcs., LLC is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II for DOT management level. This role involves remote work with 100% travel, performing PMs, inspections and repairs on light to heavy trucks in the field.

You’ll diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, drivetrain, HVAC and braking systems, with DOT/ASE training required within 18 months and a DOT background check. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits support your career.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
This position follows DOT/FMCSA regulations.
DOT background screening and DOT physical required unless updated.
21+ years old with valid driver’s license.
Must hold a valid state residence driver’s license and Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
Inspect and test equipment with handheld computers and gauges.
Road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
Manage parts inventory and company vehicle upkeep.
Complete DOT forms and RO documentation on iOS TRAIT app.
