Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel And Trailer Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems across light to heavy-duty trucks, maintain documentation, and work closely with customers and management.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid CDL. Expect a strong safety culture, mobile tooling, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience or 5 years’ alternative.
• Must complete DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card with adequate validity; valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission and related systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose with handheld devices and gauges; road test to verify fixes.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock; document RO with TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and information.
