Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will manage a company service truck, complete DOT forms, and coordinate with management for repair estimates.

The role offers 100% travel in a remote-capable environment with a potential bonus/new hire incentive. Requires ASE certification within 18 months and a valid CDL where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related discipline with 3–5 years experience also acceptable.
• ASE PMI (T8) certification must be obtained within 18 months.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand and walk for long periods; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and document findings; road test to ensure proper operation; upload repair orders via iOS TRAIT app.
