Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service client fleets on-site. The role requires maintaining equipment per company standards, diagnosing issues with advanced tools, and coordinating with the Service Manager daily.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a Class 7/8 technician, with CDL preferred though not required, and a medical card as required by FMVS. Certifications from Peterbilt/International/Ford/Hino/Isuzu/Cummins/ASE are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and documented inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager with daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for the work required.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
