Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to maintain fleets and perform on-site service calls at customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance, while managing truck inventory and documenting work in the service system.

The role requires 5+ years in Class 7/8 truck service, a strong mechanical aptitude, and certifications such as ASE or OEM programs are preferred. CDL is a plus; job offers a comprehensive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Certified or tenured technicians preferred; current CDL preferred but not required.
• ASE, Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu certifications preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance and on-site service calls at client locations.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and reporting daily duties to the Service Manager.
• Read job orders, diagnose malfunctions, and perform repair procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work in the system.
• Foster positive customer relations and advise on next repairs.
