Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is hiring Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support fleet maintenance and on-site service calls for clients. You will diagnose, repair, and service Class 7 & 8 trucks, manage on-truck parts and inventory, and coordinate with the Service Manager.

CDL preferred and medical cards per FMVS are required where applicable. This role offers a robust total rewards package with healthcare, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for career growth as part of the Rush

Qualifications

5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
Current CDL preferred but not required.
Medical card as required by the FMVS.
Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded

Responsibilities

Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness and inspections.
Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep the vehicle stocked.
Report to the Service Manager and perform daily assigned duties.
Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and perform repairs.
Diagnose and replace major components and related parts.
Document and submit paperwork in the company system.
