Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service our fleet and customer locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy trucks, with duties including after-hours calls and on-site service.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as Class 7/8 technicians, a high school diploma, and ASE certifications; CDL is preferred but not required. Medical card and brand knowledge are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt/International/Ford/Hino/Isuzu, Cummins, ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment to company standards.
• Perform basic truck maintenance and inspections.
• Manage service truck inventory and tools.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible hours.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and repair procedures.
• Diagnose and replace parts such as injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, batteries, and transmissions.
• Document work in the company system.
• Advise customers on recommended repairs within the next 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply learnings.
