Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support our fleet maintenance on client sites. You will perform diagnostics and on-site repairs for Class 7 & 8 trucks, manage service truck inventory, and coordinate with the Service Manager to schedule daily duties. CDL is preferred but not required, with FMVSS medical card as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.
• CDL preferred but not required; FMVSS medical card may be needed.
• ASE certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and ensure proper stocking.
• Diagnose, repair and replace parts using diagnostic equipment and official information.
• Document work performed in the company computer system and communicate with customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive customer relations.
