Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our fleet and perform on-site service at client locations. The role covers diagnosis, routine maintenance, and on-site repairs with a focus on fast, reliable customer service.

Applicants should have 5 years as a Class 7 & 8 technician, a high school diploma or GED, and prefer CDL. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k), and stock purchase options.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL preferred but not required; Medical card as required by FMVSS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and stock the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedules.
• Maintain and inventory the tools for maintaining diesel trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders to determine malfunctions and plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems and perform repairs.
• Diagnose, remove and replace parts such as injectors, bearings, brakes, and transmissions.
• Document work in the company computer system and submit paperwork timely.
