Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT and preventive maintenance inspections on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems and document findings via our TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience or a comparable credential, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid CDL/driver’s license with DOT background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical as required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Operate handheld testers and diagnostic equipment; road test vehicles.
