Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will work on light to heavy trucks, manage parts, and document repairs using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma with 3+ years of experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card. Benefits include weekly pay, safety gear, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience; alternative combinations may apply.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screen and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, engine electronics, and transmissions.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document work via RO using company iOS app.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain all documentation in a timely fashion.
• Maintain service truck and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
