Job summary

Cox Fleet in Stockton, CA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs at customer sites. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to work independently with a strong schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license; 21+ years old.
• Own set of hand tools to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light to heavy vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, test and road test vehicles for proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock.
• Document work in RO via TRAIT app on iOS.
