Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, light-to-heavy repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision, manage parts, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Candidate must meet DOT requirements, have ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months, and be able to operate a company service truck with safety compliance. Weekly pay bonuses and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience; or 5 years related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Requires ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations require successful DOT background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card acceptable in lieu of DOT physical if valid.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission and other truck systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety checks and compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
