Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose various truck systems, road test vehicles, and maintain service-truck inventory while documenting findings in the TRAIT app.

The role requires HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field or equivalent experience, DOT and ASE certifications, and the ability to work independently in a mobile environment.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PM on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on fleet in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify issues.
• Maintain inventory on service truck and manage parts as needed.
• Document work in RO using TRAIT app and upload photos.
