Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive business, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform license DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on trucks in a mobile/field setting. You’ll take home the assigned service vehicle and work independently.

This role offers competitive pay, benefits from day one, and a $3,000 new hire bonus. Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday or 2:00 pm–10:00 pm; you’ll also receive a company-issued tablet and ongoing training for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience.
• ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years old.
• Own set of hand tools for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document work on RO.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations.
