Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to deliver on-site maintenance and DOT inspections for our nationwide fleet. You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, while ensuring safety and compliance in a field setting.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma or GED with related experience, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. The role offers a flexible shift, potential for additional compensation, and travel across the region.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience or 5 years experience in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months and DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge referenced in job requirements.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools essential for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems; test with diagnostic tools.
• Maintain safety checks and post-/pre-trip inspections on service vehicles; manage parts inventory.
• Capture and document work using company iOS devices and TRAIT app; file DOT forms timely.
