Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician – Level II to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair and road‑test vehicles, while maintaining accurate service records.

The role requires HS diploma/GED with 3–5 years’ related experience or equivalent. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is expected; DOT compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT medical/DFR compliance and DOT background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium and heavy‑duty trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test and road‑test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Document findings and upload RO details using company TRAIT app.
• Maintain and organize parts inventory on the service truck.
