Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs across a mobile/field environment. Responsibilities include diagnostics, road tests, and documentation using TRAIT on an iOS device.

You will manage parts, ensure safety compliance, and work with clients to meet their fleet needs. This role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related field experience, or 5 years experience with different qualification.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification due within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening.
• Must possess tools to perform duties and able to work on DOT-regulated inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems; use handhelds and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck and safety checks.
• Document work with RO using iOS device and TRAIT app; complete DOT forms timely.
