Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work independently and have the assigned service vehicle for daily use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience (or 5 years).
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE certification T8 PMI within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screen and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card valid >4 months or DOT physical required if ≤4 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose electrical/brake/cooling systems and perform repairs.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and operation.
• Maintain and reconcile parts inventory on service truck.
• Complete DOT forms and Repair Orders accurately using TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for approvals on repair estimates.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety policies.
