Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light to heavy-duty vehicles on-site or in the field. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs, ensuring safety and reliability across a nationwide fleet.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, road testing, parts management, and documenting work via the TRAIT app. We offer a path for ASE certifications and growth within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or 5 years of related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screen and DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and able to obtain a Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and scheduled PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and general truck systems.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock; document work performed with RO in TRAIT app.
