Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and various repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles at customer sites across the region.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts and inventory, and document work using company devices. A DOT medical card and ASE T8 certification ahead of 18 months are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related discipline accepted.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Ability to pass DOT/background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck and tools.
