Job summary
Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles, from light to heavy-duty, in a mobile/field setting. You will work a schedule (Wednesday - Sunday or 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and enjoy benefits, including a $3,000 new hire bonus paid in stages.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
- Own a set of hand tools and be able to supply them.
- Obtain ASE PMI (T8) within 18 months.
- DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical must be completed.
- DOT medical card or ability to obtain one with guidance.
- Valid driver’s license and at least 21 years old.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
- Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
- Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
- Manage parts inventory and document work orders on an iOS device.
- Ensure safety, OSHA and DOT compliance in all tasks.
