Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on a range of trucks and trailers in a mobile setting. You’ll diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, road-test vehicles, and document all work in the TRAIT system.

The role emphasizes safety, independent scheduling, and effective communication with clients. A DOT medical card and proper certifications are preferred; weekly pay and a new-hire bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; alternative combinations with related discipline accepted.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements and DOT medical card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document findings.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck readiness.
• Document work and upload RO details using mobile devices and TRAIT app.
